In your own space, add something to your fandom’s canon. Leave a comment in this post saying you did it. Include a link to your post if you feel comfortable doing so.
I don't usually hold headcannons that go too contrary to the established cannon, but I can think of a few minor things that are part of my personal imaginings at the moment:
- Forever (2014 TV): I'm still mega bummed this one got cancelled after just one season! If I could, I would have loved to see Dr. Henry discover a society of other immortals a la Leviathan Chronicles and have him meet more people like him. I'm not entirely sure where I would have wanted the show to go, but I saw from an interview with the showrunner that Dr. Henry might not have been able to get rid of his immortality, and honestly I quite like that as something he has to learn to embrace?
- Banana Fish: Ash isn't dead, and he and Eiji reunite later in their lives. Maybe they haven't achieved the things they wanted, maybe the world was even harder to tackle than they anticipated, and maybe they've moved on from their youthful dreams, but I want Ash to have a chance to seize his life and live or die for something, not to peter out in a public library dreaming of an unreachable future.
- No 6: They meet again, and this time they stay together. I need all these sad anime boys to get their reunions please! I think I vaguely remember something about it from the novel (or was it a fanfic?) but I want more goddamnit. God why do all these shounen ai stories end in tragic separations.
- Merlin: I actually have this headcannon that Arthur's fated return for when "Camelot needs him most" is not for one single point in time, but rather several occasions throughout history. He's gonna come back, help, and die until he is no longer needed, and only then will Merlin be also freed from his fate and be able to join Arthur in Avalon.
- Black Butler: I actually stopped reading the manga when the secret identical twin thing was brought up so idk what happens but I'm really holding out for it to be some elaborate joke by a supernatural power messing with everyone's memories trying to undermine Ciel by fabricating this "identical twin" who was "the real one all along". Please let it be so TAT
That was fun! I might start writing more of these when they pop back into my mind.
