This novel gives me emotional whiplash every chapter i swear to god
Like wtf you can't just drop heart shattering character revelations and the deep burden of yan chenli's guilt at the start and then end the goddamn chapter with a teddy bear and cuddling to sleep while a jealous lulu watches on that's not fucking fair
and then reading this i remembered that chen zhi and i cried again
lulu even tried making small talk this chapter it was so cute and then i remembered the reason he doesn't "sleep" like the other executioners is yan chenli's immense guilt and him not wanting lulu to relive the moment of his death over and over again AAAGH
why must i suffer like this
it's so late i need to sleep
