How I Came Across This: Another sword name poem, this time taken straight from the title so it was a lot simpler.
Context: This poem is supposed to be played to the tune of Shou Yang, or Life-Donating Sun as I've seen it be translated (as indicated by the 寿阳曲 in the title). Ma Zhiyuan was a poet and playwright during the Yuan Dynasty, also known as one of the Four Great Yuan Dramatists. From what I was able to find, he wrote this poem when he resigned from his government post and went back to his homeland to live in seclusion and seek immortality.
| 天将暮， 雪乱舞， 半梅花半飘柳絮。 江上晚来堪画处， 钩鱼人一蓑归去。 | It's drawing close to twilight, Dancing are snowflakes white, Some are like plum petals some willow catkins. But the finishing touch of the dusk over the river, Is the figure with the palm-bark raincoat, a lonely angler. |
