Snowflake Challenge: A warmly light quaint street of shops at night with heavy snow falling.

Challenge #4: Rec The Contents Of Your Last Page

Any website that you like, be it fanfiction, art, social media, or something a bit more eccentric!

Some websites I keep coming back to:

1) Fallen London: been playing this on and off for *checks notes* nine years?! It's always entertaining even if I have long since stopped following the greater lore, and I absolutely love all the weirdness in this. If you have an hour to spare and are curious about the story, I highly recommend this video by Crow Caller - An Introduction to the world of Fallen London.

2) Choice of Games: I love me a good CYOA story, and this website has some really fun ones :) You can usually play up to three chapters for free and decide if it's worth buying the whole thing; I can personally vouch for the Vampire: the Masquerade stories "Parliament of Knives" and "Night Road", which I have played through and enjoyed multiple times! I'm also making my way through "The Beast of Glenkildove" which is a Hunter: the Reckoning based story that has been quite fun so far.

3) The End.fyi: A great directory of audiodramas that are complete! (or at least have one full season). The maintainer(s) of the directory are super active in r/audiodrama and seem to really care about the site, which I appreciate :). On another podcast note: the Rephonic Graph of similar podcasts is also fun to look at when you're wondering what other people with similar tastes to you are listening to.

4) RSS Feed Filtering: I didn't know I needed this until someone recommended it, and honestly it has been amazing! Might be quite a niche use case but for example I listen to quite a few podcasts that just dump all their various shows into one single feed and it has been a wonderful way to keep my notifications at a manageable level when I only care about like one or two of them haha

Challenge #5

In your own space, create a list of at least three things you'd love to receive, a wishlist of sorts. Leave a comment in this post saying you did it and include a link to your wishlist if you feel comfortable doing so.

Some things that would be nice:

1) As always art or podfic on any of my fics would be appreciated :) The Transformative Works Policy on my profile says just ask first, but since I'm requesting you can just skip that step lol

2) Comments + kudos on any of my fics! Who doesn't love that? Especially, and I'm fully aware this might be a longshot here, on my lonely The Exorcist (TV) Vampire AU Spanish language fic Sangre del Cordero (Blood of the Lamb), I would not be offended if anyone were to use a translator to check it out. (I've also been thinking about just translating it into English to see if it gets a little bit more of an audience... but I'm already a slow enough writer as it is lmao rip)

3) Another longshot but -- recommendations for audiodramas in Spanish!! I have a list here of some of the ones I've listened to (which is just a teensy bit out of date) but I'm always on the lookout for more!!

4) Pixel art tutorials that would be easy to follow for a noob. I've dabbled on and off but I feel like what's really stopping me is having to look up how to do everything haha, especially animation-related things.

That's all from me this time (。・∀・)ノ゙

Oh wow! The End FYI is a great resource. Way too many times I've gotten into a show just to realise I've made a life-time commitment and/or will never find out what happens.

Oh thank you so much for sharing those links! The End.fyi looks awesome, as does the Rephonic Graph. Another rabbit hole to go down, lol.

Also, I use RSS feeds quite a lot even outside podcasts, so that RSS filtering tool is extremely helpful! :0

Ohmigosh, #4 was MADE for me.

I've been getting SUPER into pixel art the last year, and, to be honest? I've watched tons of videos, and read a lot of stuff, but none have been as comprehensive and as helpful as THE Pixel Art Tutorial on the Pixel Joint Forum. It is a fantastic walkthrough of pixel art basics, terms to know, what to avoid, and more.

That thread is a little bit overwhelming at first, though! I personally recommend reading the complete thread once, and then focus on implementing a little bit at a time as you get more and more used to it. As for me, I'm still trying to master anti-aliasing!

I'd like it if you could show me your pixel art, if/when you make some. It makes me unreasonably happy to know we're both learning the same thing!

Hello, fellow pixel art student! I've been dabbling with it for ages, but in the end the approach which actually worked was taking a properly structured course at Coursera: Pixel Art for Video Games. https://www.coursera.org/learn/pixel-art-video-games

It's possible to audit as a free user, but it's not nearly as motivating when you can submit assignments and get them graded. I bought Coursera Plus subscription last year, and I'm having a lot of fun with it. Oh and it's not an ad for Coursera, I'm just too enthusiastic about it ;)

Oh and I forgot to mention, the teacher did everything in Photoshop, but it's not required, you can use whatever editor you prefer. I did all my assignments in Aseprite - IMHO it's much more suitable for pixel art anyway.
